Zac Brown with his new Olson
Jim was thrilled to personally deliver Zac Brown his recently purchased Mahogany / Adirondack SJ cut-away before his concert at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Zac contacted Jim about making him a guitar after he had an opprtunity to play James Taylor's Olson. Zac and JT performed Zac's hit "Colder Weather"
to close the show at the 2011 ACM Awards Colder Weather
Before the Concert Zac held what is known as an "Eat and Greet" and fed over 100 lucky fans ( including Jim and Sue ) to a sit down dinner prepared by Zac's chef with Zac's
famous recipes and served by members of the Zac Brown Band.

We were surprised as anyone to see Paul Simon playing an Olson 12 string on his current tour. The guitar was apparently purchased on the used market.

Clint Black with his new Olson
Country music artist Clint Black recently purchased an Olson SJ cedar top guitar. Clint was kind enough to send Jim this nice studio shot of him holding the guitar.
You may have seen Clint recently on Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice, and on Extreme Makeover Home Edition.

James Taylor presents Jim Olson with a "One Man Band" RIAA Plaque
Jim was recently honored when he was presented with an RIIA plaque from James Taylor. The award was to commemorate RIAA Certified Gold record sales for the Hear Music compact disc "One Man Band. It was so unexpected and probably undeserved... but so greatly appreciated. Thank you James! It will be proudly displayed at Olson guitars!
James Taylor's "One Man Band" DVD now available in stores
One Man Band, is a new CD/DVD set of live recordings, stories, and photos behind the songs. It was recorded at the Colonial Theatre in the Berkshires. It is an intimate setting featuring James with his "One Man Band" Larry Goldings on piano. If you missed the "One Man Band tour" now is your chance to bring it home to your living room! James Taylor returns to sing the National Anthem for Game 2 of The 2007 World Series
James Taylor made a return appearance to Boston's Fenway Park to perform the "National Anthem" before game 2 of the World Series.

David Crosby in People Magazine
People magazine (July 20th 2006) had a nice photo of the legendary David Crosby with his Olson guitar in hand. The feature story included an interview, and photos of David's family.
Mentioned in the article was David's book of memoir titled "Since Then" as well as his soon to be released 52-song box set, "Voyage"
featuring his work from 1966 to 2004 along with 16 previously unreleased tracks.
